ANT REMOVAL AND PREVENTION SERVICES

Ants are among the most common household pests in North Carolina. A few foraging ants quickly become a full-blown infestation if the colony isn’t treated at its source. Kind Pest Control specializes in ant identification, targeted colony elimination, and long-term prevention for homes and businesses across the Triangle.

Whether you’re dealing with fire ants in the yard, carpenter ants in the walls, or Argentine ants in the kitchen, we have the treatment plan to eliminate them for good.

SIGNS YOU HAVE AN ANT PROBLEM

Trails of Ants

Visible ant trails along walls, floors, or countertops — especially near food sources.

Frass or Sawdust

Small piles of sawdust-like material near wood can signal carpenter ant activity.

Fire Ant Mounds

Dome-shaped mounds in your lawn or near pavement — fire ants will swarm if disturbed.

Indoor Nests

Ants nesting inside walls, insulation, or behind baseboards, especially in moisture-prone areas.

HOW WE HANDLE ANTS

The Diagnosis
We start with a thorough inspection to identify the ant species, locate nests and entry points, and understand the scope of the infestation. Different ant species require different treatment approaches — correct identification is critical for effective control.
The Treatment
Our treatment combines colony-targeting bait that workers carry back to the queen with a protective barrier treatment around your home’s perimeter. Bait-based treatments typically eliminate active colonies within 5–14 days. We also treat known nesting sites directly when accessible.
The Prevention
After elimination, we seal common entry points and provide prevention recommendations — caulking gaps, trimming vegetation touching the structure, eliminating moisture sources, and removing food attractants. We schedule follow-up visits to confirm the colony has been eliminated.
More Information
Ants enter homes searching for food, water, and shelter. Even small gaps in foundations, window frames, or utility penetrations can serve as entry points. Keeping food sealed, fixing moisture leaks, and maintaining a clear perimeter around your home are the most effective DIY prevention steps between treatments.
